Discover Invisalign First Aligners for Kids in Surrey
Invisalign First aligners are much like standard Invisalign aligners for adults, except they are designed to accommodate the development of the permanent teeth as they erupt.
Invisalign First can be used to help correct orthodontic issues like arch development and expansion, tooth spacing, crowded teeth and protrusions, and to change the overall appearance of the smile.
Invisalign First guides children's teeth into the correct positions as they grow, which may lessen or eliminate the need for more extensive or invasive orthodontic treatment when they are older.
How does Invisalign First by Guildford Orthodontic Centre Work for Your Children?
Invisalign First expands and contours your child’s jawline via a process called dental arch expansion. Dental arch expansion involves applying pressure to the teeth over period of time to increase the width of the dental arch.
The Invisalign First process begins with a consultation at our office to determine if your child is a candidate for Invisalign First.
If so, the orthodontist will take pictures, x-rays, and impressions of your child’s mouth, teeth and jaws. These images and impressions will go to an Invisalign lab where the custom Invisalign First aligner will be made for your child.
Once the aligner is ready, your child will attend an appointment at our office to fit the aligner to their smile.
During treatment and treatment plan, the device will shift your child’s teeth into their new positions. Depending on the nature of your child’s misaligned teeth, they may require either a pair of aligners (for both the upper and lower jaw) or just one aligner.
